Grammar: German Grammar, Fourth Edition, by Elke Gschossmann-Hendershot and Lois Feuerle, Schaum's Outlines (ISBN: 987-0-07-161567-9) is the grammar review for the advanced course for several terms until the class is finished with the exercises. We are currently working in the seventh out of ten chapters.
Mixed Level Conversation:
There is no text book for this course. The instructor will furnish topics for discussion, mostly by email, prior to each class.

We have a number of the textbooks and workbooks for the beginning and intermediate classes available for purchase on a first come, first served basis. Books for the advanced course may be purchased on the internet, where they are available new or used.
Our texts and our course materials adhere to the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines as well as to the Common European Framework (CEF) and prepare students for the
Zertifikat Deutsch, an internationally recognized proficiency examination, which is available to take at the Goethe Institute in San Francisco several times each year.
